Went to look at buying a VE SV6, had a look around and mostly could find SSVs not much in the way of SV6.. Guy at the dealer took me out to look at thier other property up the road.. and this nice Alto Grey SV6 Z stands out. looks like its in pretty good shape. Start the engine and notice on the screen its only done 6,700KMs.. the drive away price was pretty good for the condition it was in after a quick spin, we went inside to do paperwork and purchase this baby..
Once all paperwork and aprovals were sorted out, found out its not registered and will take an extra day before i can take it home.. *Sad Face*

Got a phone call today at 10:30am, Shes ready!!! finish off work for the day and race down to pick her up :)
After owning VX and lower noticed that the speed gets away from you a lot easier in this.. look down at the speedo .. 80KMs whoops... 60 zone :p
quite happy with the purchase

07/06/2015 - Removed Centre Speaker

I'm by no means an expert so if you want to throw in your 2c, I'm open to criticism.

Hope you enjoy the joyride as much as I am

Well yesterday I installed a line output converter in my car and installed my amp and subs..

Not entirely happy with the results.. For one.. It doesn't thump anymore like it did off my other deck.. But I guess that's coz it doesn't exactly run off sub rca anymore

Also my light dim on the bass so might have to look into that..

I think buying a better amp and subs will be on my to do list

Today I disconnected the centre speaker and it sounds a lot better .. Didn't realise how much the front speaker takes over so much..

Also went looking around for the bigger lip spoiler found one which I might pick up next week

And also sourced some hsv headlights with driving running lights.. I'll post up some pics when I get time to take some tomorrow

Well i went and checked out why my amp and subs were less than disappointing..

Got out the multimeter and found out one of the subs were showing 89 ohms on the screen hmm weird.. so i started following the cable back to the sub to work out where the problem is, the terminals also showing same reading..
I unscrew the back terminals and pull it out of the box, touch the wires and 4 ohm, touch the back of the terminal and 89 again.. ahhh... so get out soldering iron and cut cable and restrip the wire and solder the wire to the terminal and screw it back into the box

test the wire going into the amp... 4 ohm ! sweet

Wire it up to the amp with my second sub, and test the amp terminals 2 ohm.. nice

now the subs are thumping like they were in my VX! glad it wasnt anything else

now all i have to do, is create a custom box for the 2 subs and amp with a place for a second amp for the front speakers when i get around to updating the door speakers
shorten the power cables and what not so its all neat and cant be seen..

Ill update this when i get around to building the box and rewiring.. might have to source some cheap deadening as the vibrations are pretty bad

keep you guys posted
