Is my thermostat not opening at high speed at around the 50k areas temp is good
I picking it's not opening and it's all going back into the radiator nd then the rest gets pushed into and out the overflow

The hoses were holding pressure
Radiator been flushed not so long ago
If it's a cap or thermo they dont seem to last long these days I only replaced them this year

When you did the rad flush and new thermo did you do the whole air bleed thing correctly because an airlock will give you the type of result you had.

Doubt it's your thermostat, otherwise it would happen at any speed, not just below 50.

Did the temp go up slowly or just suddenly go from normal to off the scale?

Try tightening all hoses, then get the engine up to temp, then re-bleed it. Do this (bleed) with the heater on high.
Also after going for a drive (going to shop, whatever) bleed it again.
Do this 2 or 3 times, or maybe more. No air may not come out of it, when bleeding, but by doing this a few times, you will eventually get all the trapped air out.

You've replaced the water pump & heater tap haven't you?

Did you open the bleeds on either side of the block after draining the system or just the one on top of the thermostat?
