thermostat housing

i have just replaced the thermostat and put it all together and a bit of coolant is squirting out where the theremostat meets the engine. is there an easy way to fix this or do i have to rip it all off again?

p.s. i put a new o ring on aswell

that usually means the thermostat isnt seated properly or the gasket hasent seald yes you will have to pull it off again

mines different it has a O-ring

mine is a series 1 so the housing is at the back of the engine under the throttle body.
and there is only 1 bolt to hold it on

Unless the V6 is different xcop5l, cause I know the 5.0lt is a gasket........
