Hey, i'm practically new here, but just thought i would post what i've got done to my car today. I own a V6 '94 vr exec. As i don't yet know a great deal about cars, I got my boss to do the work for me, but i watched and helped where i could as I'm fairly eager to learn more. Just a couple of things were done, nothing too major.
I got a a V6-VS cold air intake installed, as well as new vt injectors. We wern't completely sure whether the vt injectors would suit a vr, so we called GM and we were tolled that they would work fine. Also, a new heater tap was installed as the old one rusted out i think and was keeping the heater pipe hot which could be felt from near the drivers sides feet (not a good thing in the 40 degree whether we've been having)..so yeah that was replaced. My boss which is also my mechanic is fairly good with getting me low prices (discuss if you want)..i got my vt injectors for $40 each (new) and the heater tap at $30 (new). And also just got some bolts tightened on the steering rack as i could hear noises from under the car (it's not the bushes, just replaced those a couple of months ago with heavy duty pedders). Anyways, i've probably said too much, but as i said im fairly new here and just wanted to post whats been worked on today.

Any particular reason why you went with VT injectors?

    Oh, and hi and welcome.

Welcome mate, be sure to head to the "My Ride" Section and post a thread about your car, add pictures and then keep updating it with the things you do to it.

well..my boss bought them and was going to put them in his car, but he never got around to it and is deciding to sell his car, so he asked me if i wanted them. My car has had a rough idle and a slight misfire, so im hoping the new injectors will fix it, considering they've never been changed i assume.

there are lots of things that could have caused the misfire. has it gone away now that the injectors have been changed?

sounds a bit like he offloaded unwanted parts on you.

Although, i don't know a lot about cars, i'm aware that it may be caused by many things, but yeh...he's a fairly decent and trustworthy guy, but even if he was unloading unwanted parts, new injectors could only do good though wouldn't they, since the old ones have been in for 260,000+ km's?

Edit: I havn't got the car back yet, i'm going back down there shortly to see where the car is at.

true, but same could be said for a lot of other parts. you could spend $10k that way.
