Gumtree people - sellers for once.

Call up RE: clubsport for sale - most arrogant prick I have ever talked to.

ask him questions that I wanted answers for -
still got stock head unit? nah mate that's a piece of **** you wont want it (thanks for that mate)
Wheres the bonnet badge? mate all the vz hsv never had bonnet badges from the Calais up (oh didn't realise that was a hsv ####wit and that's complete bullshit)
Is that fuel flap repainted or is it just the picture? (DUNNO)
comes with a spare? ye mate, spacey, ur lucky im giving it to you they just give you the foam instead
whats the dvd player like? nah mate its broken the guys got champagne on it or something.
So theres champagne stains on the seat/floor? Nah I said they only got it on the dvd player (what goes up must comedown)

I couldn't believe it. obviously he was a broken man from all the bogans offering him 12k but still that's a piss poor effort at trying to sell a car that's costing him

Anyway I politely told this apparent hsv manager with a maloo as his work company car that I would have to pass on his pig and he should maybe try being a bit more polite (the uncensored version) to his future potential buyers

Never tasted and was not describing the taste, just the texture. I have this Ceramic Grease when I did the brake job on my VE/G8. The feel of that cream reminded me the consistency of that grease when I was applying it to the pins (very thick and white in color).

This is the Brake Grease that I bought

People that have pools and then use a bucket to put out spot fires.

Do yourself a favour, buy a fire fighting pump and hose set-up, can be had for as little as $200.00

and if you never ever use it, count yourself lucky.

Being stuck on a P1 motorcycle licence and being so terrified of being booked and losing my licence that I spend more time staring at the speedo than I do focusing on the road ahead of me... at least that's how it feels. February 28 cannot come soon enough for my transition to an open licence!

And then there's the fact that I can't get insurance for the motorcycle I want to buy (non-LAMS) until I've got my licence upgraded - i.e., I want to buy the bike, have it insured for my dad but registered to me, but they won't insure me for my dad because my licence doesn't allow me to ride the bike. Which makes sense, but it means if a good deal comes up now, I can't go through with it. So right now I'm hoping that this guy won't sell his bike between now and March -_-

And then... There's NRMA, who are charging 3x as much as the other motorcycle insurer that I'm planning to go with - what a ripoff.

Then there's the out-of-warranty $500 crash cymbal I bought a couple of years ago that has cracked due to being defective, which I have to replace.

And then there's the marketing unit (the final of three... THREE) I'm currently working through in my Diploma of Business which is redundant, and so poorly thought-out that I have to actually invent things to put in it, and search for help from other RTOs for more information on how to complete the assessment.

I think that's about it... I guess it's good that my problems are pretty much just first-world issues :)

Buy the bike and wait till you can legally ride it before insuring for you.

You can't ride it yet so insurance doesn't need to cover you yet.

Well, the plan was to buy it (assuming I can get finance) and then let my dad ride it. But they won't insure it for my dad because it will be registered in my name, and the policy-holder has to be the registered owner. They won't insure me because my licence doesn't let me ride it. So I can't get insurance at all.

If I could get finance, we were going to buy it and stick it in the garage until my licence is sorted, but anyway... Finance is the next issue so we'll see what happens. I'm wanting to go have a look at a couple of LAMS versions of non-LAMS bikes in the meantime to see if I can find anything that'll suit me better.

I thought of that too, but from what little information I can find we'll have to pay stamp duty to transfer rego to me. I've been meaning to clarify this with the RMS though.

Might be the price you pay for the bike you want.

Just put a low selling price on the rego papers when you transfer ownership.

If your dad says its a gift to you from him they waive the stamp duty and transfer fees etc. Not to sure if that applies in NSW but worth checking out. (Does apply in QLD)

I wouldn't go with a lams bike if your just about to get an unrestrectied licence.

Lams bikes are **** compared to having an unrestricted bike and you pay literally the same $ except they have stuff all resale value because why pay 9k for a restricted 600 when you can get a 1000 for 10k... I would just wait if I was you man don't do something you will regret.

I'm not going to buy a LAMS bike, but I want to try out LAMS versions of bikes that I can ride when I've got my full licence. That way at least I know what seating positions and such are like.

I'd go to a few bike shops and test ride a couple. Also, dont look for a bike to buy until you're ready to buy, it just leads to dissapointment cause you'll be forever finding ones perfect for what you're after.

Buying a bike for me was an absolute nightmare. In the end I decieded to just screw it and buy one when Im off my P's.

Im 6 foot 5. My brother is a little shorter and I steal his from time to time. He is on his L's and rides a V Star and even that, which is a fairly large legal bike, my knees are up around my neck.
