I have completely missed the reason why he should have been consulted for opinions on the new name. I did not realise that cheese was an indigenous food for 60,000 years.
Now, what about changing the names of 17 towns around Australia so they are not offensive ........... or, were they Aboriginal place names Anglicised in spelling and pronounciation ?
I am waiting for at least 1 surburb around Adelaide to be renamed as a result of the possibility of being offensive.....Blackwood is the name of the surburb....Would be interesting to hear what it could be called
The cheese...Hummm...Bloody amazing that it was originally named after the founder, yet all of a sudden the name must be changed.....
I am all for stamping out racism, but changing names of particular foods just because they can is going a little too far...It's plain it was named to acknologe the inventor, not to insult any person or race...
