2002 Vx Executive s2
Hey guys I’m new here, I picked up my first car which is a 2002 vx executive s2 about 7 months ago and have been doing work to it since.

I am just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a specific V8 engine to put into my car.

I could also put a stock supercharger into it and put a smaller pulley on it making about 10psi. I just don’t know yet, need suggestions.

I know everyone says just buy a V8 but I also don’t know what v8’s are p plate legal, I know their may be a vs or a vr or something, maybe a Vt or a vx with a V8 that’s legal but I just don’t know, also can’t spend too much cash.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out, thanks

Conversion = sell V6 Commodore, buy V8 Commodore. Unless you have a complete donor/wreck it's not really worth doing with how common they are.

There is no stock supercharger for an LS in a VX either (or any other V8 Commodore up until the VE HSV). There are no P-plate legal V8s for a Commodore. No you cannot swap one in to get around the laws.

Conversion basics are here (it's a VY but it's pretty much the same) - https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/eyys-vy-calais-ls1.272746/

X2 you wouldn't even consider a V8 swap. It would cost several times more than buyin the car with engine in it and better off waiting until you can even drive one or afford the insurance.

I thought V6 VT/VX came with a factory s/charger from memory, these might be ok for a P plater :)

I second your sell V6 and buy a V8 easier and quicker and cheaper by the time you do a conversion :)

nah I think it might only be the s-pac that comes with the supercharger but was thinking about taking one from a s-pac and putting it onto my factory v6. Will just need to get headers n stuff aswell.

I'm in ACT so we don't have P plate restrictions, but I'm sure I read somewhere that the L67 is not P plate legal in NSW and VIC.

VX Acclaim Wagon S2,
Like what's been said, you really need a donor car for a V8 swap.

You need the LS1 motor (with accessories), K-frame, PCM/BCM, wiring loom, and fuel system.

As for a factory L67 Super 6, you need the motor (with accessories), Memcal (chip in the PCM), and the loom (unless you modify the L36 loom) and possibly a fuel pump.

P.S I like the wheel fitment on your car, is that SSL Front and SSSL Rear?
