Thrown a piston?

When the valves hit the piston the bend they do not lift the head off.

Cant happen. That's just light refraction. Those head bolts would have captured *all* that energy.

Probably the smartest thing you've said in this thread.

When i said it "Hit the head" did you not find it somewhere in your brain to attribute that i could have been referring to the head assembly as a whole? And the damage which it caused, which i alluded to included, but wasnt limited to hitting the valves and also snapping the camshaft retaining assemblies as the piston continued to repeatedly jackhammer itself into the valves?

If I order a ham and cheese toasted sammich but I really wanted a bacon and egg roll then I get a ham and cheese sammich it's because I should bloody use english ffs.

You just got some really good advice, everyone told you that the mechanic almost certainly lied to you.

It almost certainly hasn't thrown a piston.

There are heaps of mechanics in Shepparton, if you don't get another opinion, you are crazy.

From what I just read, you just decided to go back and buy the VE engine from the same mechanic who just almost certainly lied to you. n

Borrow a car for a few days, take your time otherwise, you will get taken advantage of.

A good honest mechanic is hard to find, good luck.

Well I was going to get my mate to look at it but he's gone away for a while so we'll have to see how it goes tomorrow I think anyway.

How’s the motor on that drag car? You’d almost say the head lifted off a bit for a sec.

Looks like it has obliterated that wheel rim too.
Tyres should be fine.
