Hey guy's,
Have a ticking noise that increases with the rev of the engine. The tick doesn't start forming til the car warm's up and doesn't sound like it's coming from the top of the engine.
It sound's like it's coming from a header gasket leak maybe or noisy extractors.
The sound is extra noticeable from below the car. I have jacked it up and couldn't find any sign of an exhaust leak however I haven't been under it when it's been started.
All the header bolt's are tight is there a way to definitely determine the source of the noise whether it may be a lifter or exhaust leak.
Sound's far fetched but could it even be a tick from one of the spark plug lead's earthing out? (They're 10,000km old lead's and so are the spark plugs)
Thanks!

swap some leads around from 1 to the other if u feel its that, are your sparks in tight? do u have any old sparks laying around, maybe a spark is up **** creek

can u take the belt off and start the engine for a bit (after youve warmed it up) see if noise still exists

not likely but maybe a vaccumm hose leaking

is the oil full, maybe errors arent showing up on dash, and needs more oil

Turned out to be a spark plug was not even half a turn loose. Maybe the noise was it arcing out on the cylinder head or something?
Thanks for the suggestion
