power trippa said:
“This new law will enable police to treat reckless driving as a hoon offence,” he said.
“The police will have the power to arrest hoon drivers for reckless driving, which is similar to the provision for arrest without warrant.”

It's only a matter of time before someone on a power trip exercises this right :)

Is it just me, or does the photo of the bloke on the road look like he's been chopped? lol.

What proof do cops need to charge you with reckless driving?

EDIT: lol beat me to it danja :p

Yeah the guy does look a bit too small there...

I imagine the police would have to see you driving recklessly, just like if you were to be tailgating etc. In court it would be their word against yours, but seriously no cop (well very few) would ever make up charges just because they can

lol at the comment on the article

I feel so sorry for Falcon resident Charlie Gibson.

I mean I really took to heart what he said about being able to get a good sleep at night. I just look at that burnout and see how that would have blasted his hearing aid at 9pm at night and ruined his sleep.

It is just appauling to see young drivers drive so recklessly in city streets.

Burnouts should be made illegal.

Actually anything that makes noise at night should be illegal.

Like those waves down at Falcon beach.

They are noisy as.

I couldn't get to sleep the other night as those hoon waves were pounding the shore line.

I personally have never seen a burnout occur on the streets of Mandurah but from what I hear it sounds like hoon drivers rule the streets.

I don't think I have ever seen a hoon though.

I just can't belive that someone would have done a burnout on that nice clean road of Falcon resident Charlie Gibson.

I actually made the comment on this article the other night. All comments need to be modorated so i tried to make it as if a stupid person wrote it.

I hate old people. Well not old people, Old people who hate anyone who isnt old. Like there is 1 burnout on the street and they are saying that this happens all the time. Im sure it does. The street is hell clean.

FTR i havnt actually seen anyone do somthing stupid or a burnout on the streets. Well the odd coming out of the corner single spinner thats about it.
