ya mum!
Well I thought another interesting topic of discussion could be clocks, watches and other timepieces. I personally love them, even in this technology era I love the craftsmanship and some of the timeless designs.

I have a few watches but this is my latest addition. It's a TW Steel 822, black steel and black leather band. Not the most expensive watch in the world but one I've wanted for a while. TW Steel specialise in over-sized watches. It's quite heavy which I love! It is my 1 year anniversary present from my wife.

I'll get some pics of my others ASAP and we also have an antique grandfather clock in the family which will eventually be passed on to me. Also very impressive!

I'd love to own an antique pocket watch one day... When we have some spare funds.

So what do all you guys have watch and clock wise? I'm interested. :D

Used to wear watches all the time. Then came mobile phones. Don't wear watches anymore.

As convenient as mobile phones are, I still wear and love the feel of a top end quality watch. My wife bought me an Omega Planet Ocean as a wedding gift 4 years ago. It's one of my most treasured possessions.
High end watches are one of the few things left in the world that are made to last a lifetime.

Most other things are designed with a maximum lifespan, quality watches feel "timeless"!

Dress watch - Lorus. Looks ok, tells me the time.

Sports watch - Garmin Forerunner 10. I use it for running. Uses GPS. It measures time, distance, calories and overall average pace and displays combinations of two of these on two different panels. Upload data into garmin connect website to superimpose on a street map, gives you splits, elevation etc.

I think that a good quality time piece is essential , its just a personal view , I like watches and sometimes will buy one because I like the look of them , and have in transit an Seiko automatic sports watch which I purchased on line
As they say , whores will have their trinkets .

I have a Tissot PR200 with stainless band and grey face which I got for my 30th. I hardly wear it (especially with my job) and while it's not overly flash or expensive, it was something to mark a milestone birthday that I can keep forever.

i wear a Rolex sub 168000 circa 1988 also known as the transitional rolex as it was only made for around 6-9 months

servicing the watch every 5 years is quite expensive but i do enjoy wearing it

I got a Tag Heuer Mika Hakkinen Ltd Edition (1462 of 2000) as an "engagement ring", because why should the woman be the only one getting expensive stuff?
