has anyone used this and is it a good one? i know its a factory type chain

also would a roll master one be better? any benifits? power or life?

gonna take the timing cover off and sus out me front balance shaft bearing as its making slight noise that i hate!! but yeh while im at it im thinking ai may aswell do this as on me old vn i changed the chain for good measures and god it went good after that, but that had over 300 000 on teh clock my vs has almost 170 000

    cheers

good enough for a every day driver thats stock , roll master would be over kill unless you wish to have an adjustable timing set .

Personally for me, I'd be spending the few extra dollars on a good quality rollmaster set. Never go with cheap **** for engine internals

    Have you priced genuine?

On occasion I have found genuine parts at a similar, or even cheaper, price than aftermarket.

The kit it self will not give any more power.

The advantage of something like a Roll Master is to be able to rotate the cam accurately and reliably at high engine speed with the added load of stiffer valve springs plus the ability to set the cam (after-market) timing to the desired specs.

How easy is the chain to replace? I am thinking of changing mine since mine has many k's on it.

Front of the engine needs to come off.

well i won a roll master kit for it on ebay for 50 bucks brand new, think its one that is single keyway, not the multi keyway ones, i figure it will cost basically the same as that kit with getting the dampener (maybe 20 bucks extra) and its a better quality kit

it all depends how much you like working on cars, to me its not hard at all, bit time consuming though, i redon the whole top end (head gasket etc and clean ) of me mates vs in about 9 hours, #### me my back hurt after that haha car still runs like a dream somehow as it was basically the first time i done it...well second as i did it to a vt but it was already in pices when i brought it and i did it over 3 days lol

as for the front of the engin, id rather do that then the top end....trust me! you just gotta make sure you line up the timing marks correctly, even if you double check after you double check as you dont want that ####ing up at all
