hello every one i am in the middle of the timing chain in my vz the cams and crank are out of sync there is no damage done to the pistons or valves i have done a ton or research on how to go about putting them back in sync every thing i have found is just about replacing the timing chain i am wondering if anyone would know the way putting them back in sync or know where to look to put them back in sync

easy look it up need cam tools , spanner to turn cams ect

Well id be replacing the chains they don't just go out of sync.

Unless someone's tried to replace the chains and timed them wrong lol.

There are some good YouTube videos on V6 timing change replacements,
I have watched a few, and looks very easy, (after you have watched a number of times) you just need to take you time and take one step at a time, and it should work ok.
And check the crank gear is in the correct location to the chain links when you start.

yeah i am replacing the timing chain the marks wasn't where they where meant to be and looked like the primary chain had jumped 2 teeth its done 210,000 on without the timing chain being replaced i am surprised it hasn't damaged the valves or pistons when i went to turn it by hand it just jumped teeth

yeah i am doing a hole bunch of research i have done stuff like that before but not with particular engine

To jump 2 teeth, its not aligned correctly,
otherwise there is a serious issue, one of the tension/guides damaged ?

I am about to do Timing chains on a 2006 LY7 Adventra possible next week.
Just ordered the Timing Chain Kit, and Oil Pump.

There is the 2 Phases of Timing, Left Side and Right Side,
that has to be taken into consideration.

Hint: Always disassemble in Phase 2 Timing, then move to Phase 1, and the reverse to re-assemble.

You will possible need the attached tools to align the Cams Correctly.
