Vf ute ssv manual
Hi all

I got a vf ute ssv man and i want to put an exhaust on it but no sure what type...main thing im looking for is to get some sound without disrupting the air compressing.
I was thinking leaving it from the cat where it has the big muffler and the hotdogs and just changing it from the 2 little mufflers right at the back on both sides of the tail pipes...will that give me a good note and not disrupt the motor compression much? Would like other suggestions too cheers
Theo

Will be louder, will probably drone though.

Won’t be any deeper.

What do you mean by drone?
And whats the difference between it being louder and deeper?

disrupt the compression? a catback isnt gong to do that. id suggest you fit a 2.5 catback, it wont do anything to your engine or computer, it will give you a nice sound and wont cost you an arm and a leg.
id stick to either difilippo, pacemaker, kpm, hurricane or manta.
price ranges from $800 to $1900

The restriction of the cast manifold and cats are still in front of the cat back, you will be fine....

Drone is a low frequency noise that sounds terrible. It usually happens at low RPM, typically between 1000 and 2000 rpm.

Difference between loud and deep..... think deep meaning more bass.......

For what it’s worth, in my opinion Difillipo and Manta are the best sounding systems for the VF.

I chose manta, however have headers and cats too.

I do Manta and they are one of the better sounding systems on any Commodore.

By "motor compression" do you mean back pressure? Back pressure is bad, you don't want it at all. People saying that you need it don't know anything about how an engine works.

I have a SSV ute and I have 4-1 long tube 1 3/8 headers with 200 cell cats and Magna flow 2.5 exhaust sounds great and no drone.
