Tire Pressure!!!!!!!

    i have stock 15" calias wheels atm wondering how much i have 2 inflate them as people tell me different amounts what 2 fill em the sticker under my bonnet says 35 but i reckon thats way 2 low and my tires look flat-my mate said 42 but i reckon thats way 2 much so i usually go 38-40 whats the correct tire pressure?

    The correct tyre pressure is the pressure stated on the tyre sticker, however that is not always the best. In my parents old VT with stock 15's we used to inflate them to 38 psi. To find the best tyre pressure, try a few different pressures as a higher pressure filled tyre will give a rougher ride.

    It all comes down to the tyre. Check the pressure on the actual tyre, not the placard as the placard states the recommendations for the factory fitted tyres. Too low a pressure will give an unsafe ride and uneven tyre wear. Too high will give a hard ride and reduce the tyre to road contact area.
    I run 36psi in stock 15's, as the profile of the tyre gets lower, the pressure should go up. Eg, a 55 series tyre will need less pressure than a 45 series.

    i agree with not_an_abba_fan 36psi is good for stock 15's for city driving for country i'd recommend 38-40psi.
