Might be a long shot but does anyone know of a place in Launceston who can add into the side of my leathers? I tried them on and they no longer fit, with the back protector. I'm too fat. Google brought up nothing except bike shops. I don't have time to send them away as I need them altered by Fri this week.

Find a motor upholstery trimmer. They have leather and big sewing machines.

I may have to use a motor trimmers. I was hoping to call some bike shops in the morning but they don't open until 9am. I start work at 8.30. Need to get onto it ASAP, given the short time frame.
