Hi all, any ideas why
a top radiator hose keeps coming off? Have changed the clamp & will change the hose & thermostat. Any ideas?

provided its the right sized hose and clamp, no reason other than maybe not being tightened enough or put on properly?

a pic to let us see your handy work might shed some light on it.

looks like the original hose, the clamp on it is original aswell. but l did notice there isnt a lip on the radiator so thats why l changed it to a screw on clamp. had the car for 2 years hasnt come off before.

Not sure if its meant to have a lip on it but if its not to short and not to loose i would ring holden find out weather or not its meant to have a lip on the radiater. It would make more sense if its meant to have a lip on it if you have no luck there. I would say just beef up the ring clamp or even put as many as possible on it but thats not addressing the problem you have can you put any pics up?

Ah bugger, it sux when they break off like that, I was hoping they had sorted this issue out on the VE. Its New radiator time for you mate. Is it still under warranty ?
If not maybe look for a metal alloy radiator rather than the standard plastic **** again !!

i had the same issue with the radiator in my vr.hose kept coming off because the plastic became brittle and fell apart.the only fix is a new radiator.
