Also, if the HSV's come with that skull on the intake, i'll buy one JUST for it.
If that is the new engine, how come they don't go OHC, and direct injection? Things like that.. It seems a bit old to be honest, lol. Or is their a reason they're still pushrod?

It's not really the "new" engine - it's still the Gen IV. I've heard about a 5.5-litre Gen V engine in the works with direct injection, but the best link I can find so far is this: http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f13/gm-gen-v-v-8-pic-112237/

Anyway, here's a pic...

Is it true that they are replacing the 6.2L chevy with a 5.5L Small Block chev.

Yes but it'll probably be the series 2 version. I don't think the GenV will be ready for the initial release.

On the hunt!!
Holden/General Motors need to design/develop a 6 cylinder turbo engine.

Really, all they have is the N/A 6 Cylinder & the 6.2L 8 Cylinder, and only now there "could" be an optional S/C V8.

As of VZ, you had to choose between either the 6 or 8.

Hopefully they have more than 2 engines to choose from!

A turbocharged 4 would be more practical for GM's engine line up wouldn't it otherwise you run the risk of having a charged 6 that has a similar output as your na V8. It would keep all the tree hugging hippies happy...
