Who said its a no no ? Possibly easy to damage the inside of the hex ? Try tightening the rear bolt with anything else.

The tutorial on changing injectors and cleaning throttle body/plenum said no no. Is it a big no no or a little one.

Basically since my torque wrench wasn't handy they got they old tigehten followed by a slow steady half turn just so the car was in one piece and shiftable from the garage to the driveway and that's all the driving I did until I suss the torque situation or just torque the bolts. Bad?

8-11 Nm. I would and did use an allen key on mine.
