When we have the traction control on and in slippery conditions the engine splutters is this nornal or is something wrong.
its normal mate... it cuts spark or fuel (95% sure its spark.. mental blank) which makes the car splutter therefore your wheels cant spin
really, mine engages the rear brakes to the spinning wheel. it has caused me to actually turn the car right around becase the traction control locked up the rear wheels after it had already started to slide sideways around a corner
mine pushes the pedal back towards your foot, its a pain in the arse and i never have it on otherwise it bunny hops and carries on all the time, the VE trac works MUCH better
Hey Cameron, my VT Acclaim ETC just shuts down injectors, up to 5 of the suckers, so engine produces much less power when rear wheel slip is detected. I think that is so no unburned fuel stuffs your cat as well as controlling wheel slip.
i cant confirm they did change the set up.. but if your traction control applys the brakes and mine cuts fuel then obviously they did yeah graham7773 i wasnt sure weather it was fuel or spark they cut but thinking about it now it would make more sense to cut fuel. it feels like its missfiring
cutting fuel to up to 5 injectors feels like misfiring? The first time it happened to me, I shat myself as I was in a quick u-turn with traffic coming at me and no power! Ah well, the old saying, "live and learn"
well yeah.. i have had spark issues before and it was a similar feeling when the traction control cuts in.. kinda
