Traction control light vx ss

There are plenty of these threads with a similar problem but can't dig one up the same as mine!
I have a 2002 vx ss and the traction control light won't turn off
And I can't turn the traction control of! It just bogs down and spins slowly!
I'm thinking its the sensors but is there a way I can test it before going out and spending money?

so the light is on?

but t/c isn't off?

could be one of the sensors, or the plug has been pulled out of the switch maybe?
