There are 2 screws, one either side of the cigarette lighter socket, remove them and then pull the cover up from the rear near where the window switches are, or would be if you had them. the cover just clicks in so don't be afraid to pull it hard (the cover that is). Once you have that off you may be able to replace the switch without dismantling anything else, I'm not sure.

i just tried that and looks like you have to take the gear shifter off and the plastic thing around it. any idea how you take the gear shifter off and the plastic thing around it?

I'm pretty sure the plastic bit just clicks in also. I don't remember how to get the gear knob off but you should have enough play to remove the switch which also clips in.

Take the 2 screws out from the round the cig lighter and the lift up the grey surround will need a bit of force...

Then the oval shaped surround should pop of one side then the other side you will see little tabs on the bottom of it on either side these are the tabs that have to be released and then you should have enough room to be able to get to the switch will be on the left have a bit of a wiggle at the bottom trying to push the switch up at the same time then it should just pop up and out then clip the plug out of it and install in reverse order

switches can b a pain in the arse if they havent been taken out b4 somtimes its easier 2 remove part of the kick panel 2 get a screw driver under 1 of the tabs boganV8 was talkin bout then u should b able 2 get 1 finger under the other tab on the same switch then try wriggle it up, patience is the key lol
