Best tyre's for the wet would be dunlop sports imho....never have let me down even when they are close/ or past the wear indicator

but you get what you pay for

Cant really say that mate. You can pick up KU31s cand FK452s for $170 even less in some cases just goota keepo an eye out.

Don't Omegas have traction control?

Lol yeah they do, i don't really see his issue. Even when they slide they dont go all to far....

I understand the OP situation, the tyres my Omega came with were shocking in the wet (car was second hand). In heavy rain I could have the traction control on and spin very easily at the lights a little unnerving to say the least.

Had triangles on the VR. Great tire had no issues with them.

Nope. Had Goodyear tires on before and I would lose traction in the wet very easy. Even a full boot launch would cause it to spin in the dry. Put some Triangles on and were good. Even had a mate run them on his VN and he had no issues.
