just wondering if the VZ have a transmission oil cooler fitted standard, if not how do I fit one and is it expensive?

How do I tell if its got one fitted or not? I want to cool the transmission oil (obviously) because it can cop a fair whack from my right foot from time to time or be towing heavy loads.

    Car is a VZ Acclaim.

Considering the increased pretection that a T/Cooler offers, their cost isn't all that high. Depending on size you could expect to pay anything from $100 - $200 with installation being slightly more. (A couple of hose connections and a mounting screws/brackets) You could call at any Auto Trans. Service Centre for their prices (Supply only or Supply and Fit). You could decide on what size you require and pick up all the relevenat bits at almost any half decent Auto Parts Store (inc S/Cheap). It is something within the ability of most people hand with screwdrivers/sockets etc.Just make sure that your connections are secure (not over tightened). Good luck with it.
