I've been working on a vt Calais I was given (I have no idea of history). Anyway, I've got it running and went to try drive it and it only moves real slow when you rev it high. It selects gears as it should. It does the same thing in reverse...only moves slowly under high revs. There are no horrible noises, it doesn't clunk into gear and fluid level is good.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I have a new filter yet to put in just not sure that with help...?

I had a VN Trans do the same thing, when they sit for a long time the seals dry out, which stops them building up pressure. you can buy additives to help stop this. mine usually come good after 5 or 10 mins

Thanks Fxxxrr, I'll try some of that additive stuff. Apparently Lucas make a good one.
