Your preference of an auto or manual would probably be helpful to get appropriate answers.
The LSA came with 6L90E auto and MG9 Tremec manual so either would be reliable.
Looking through the linked site and you should find lots of appropriate bits for the LSA ;)

But if you've been confused by what you've been told, wait until you start with getting the electrionics working o_O

Assuming you mean an auto 6L80/6L90, there's a few mobs around that can build em bloody strong too if you plan on abusing it too. Such as Shiftrite up in NSW.

Cheapest probably th400 most extravagant would be 4l80e...basically th400 with overdive.

6l90 would do the job although read somewhere monster in size only fit vf....6l80 is regular ve-f v8 auto that can be built up to handle good power but yet to see one in an early girl.Hope they do fit as will be plentiful for conversions next few years

    Thanks lads.
    Should have mentioned auto.
6l80/90 Will have massive issues with fitment, so was looking at t400.
Thanks for tip re 4l80e I'll look into that one.

T400 for simplicity and ease of fitment. Components are very reasonably priced too.

TH400 would be sweet behind an LSA in a VK. I've got a TH400 in my VK behind an LS3, got it from Paul Rodgers in VIC. Built for 1100hp. VK's have bugger all weight in them so you wont need many gears with the torque the LSA puts out.
