    Evening all,

Recently I have found that while driving my car on the highway tonight (Vr V6 Wagon) that its not always shifting into 4th gear, and was sitting around 2500Rpm while "cruising" at 110km, It has never done this before and I am concerned.

While accellerating normally, it goes fine, But again, it just doesnt want to go into 4th gear..

I am not a rev head, and i dont know a great deal about cars, Which is why i am here.

If you guys require any other information, PLEASE ask, as any help given is greatly appreciated!

It might be worth doing a fault code check and see what that brings to light.
    Hope this helps

There is a power button, But I rarely use it. It was not turned on.

Still dont know the issue, Perhaps a trans service?

as above check for error codes, the pcm stores error codes to make diagnosing easier instead randomly guessing what the problem is.
pwr button at 110 km/h won't stop 4th being engaged.
are you sure it's only missing 4th?

could possibly be either of these 2 problems:

No 2nd or 4th gear. 2-4 band is slipping: Servo seals may be damaged. Otherwise, 2-4 band is worn out. Transmission must be removed and rebuilt.

    or

No 1st or 4th available; trans shifts 2nd to 3rd by itself in D or OD and locks the converter: ShiftA solenoid failed Or a wiring problem from PCM to trans or PCM. Needs diagnostic testing.

2500rpm @ 110kph is OK for 4th with the Torque Converter unlocked....when it locks revs will drop to about 21/2200rpm.
If it was in 3rd the revs would be above 2700.
So I'd say your car is in 4th at 110kph and 2500rpm....it's not in 3rd.
So I'd say your TCC is not locking up.
