Hi, can anyone make any suggestions for me....
I have a violent leak above the sump and filter area and below the dipstick area, sort of in the guts somewhere on the left of the engine bay as you look at it, on my golden commodore berlina, 2007 ish. The car won’t move under its own power so trying self solve. I’m not familiar with the transmission system so I’m hoping it’s likely to be a flexible pipe or a busted gasket if that’s what the system entails? Cheers in advance

Is it from the sump gasket?

Is it engine or transmission fluid?

It’s definitely transmission fluid and it’s not coming from the sump gasket, I have replaced that and also put a new filter in, it’s higher up than the sump. Is there pipework that might come off the transmission block that I should be looking for perhaps?

The transmission cooler pipes could be around there.
