Transmission problem

Hi folks.
My 2002 VY , AUTO, has had a winding noise recently when accelerating...
Last night I went to move it on driveway... No gears would engage. Just revs like in neutral. However, if I turn car off and restart... It engages into reverse or drive, but if I try to change gears again, it once again just revs. Only get one gear change...
But it seems to work every time I turn car off n restart it.
Anyone know what might cause this?

Checking your fluid level would be the place to start.

Recently had general service.
Not the transmission service though.
Suspension done.. Struts/mounts etc.
power steering rack boots done.
Front n rear Tail shaft dampeners replaced.
Trans fluid reads full.

Checking your fluid level would be the place to start.

Wondering why it will go into gear after turning ignition off and restarting....

Get the gearbox serviced...

I am betting the filter is clogged up with crud, causing the issue you're describing....

Had a similar problem with my VY auto...Got it serviced, problem solved
