hi huys, i own a 2006 vz exec, ex cop car, its done 195,000 k's, when i bought it it came with 148 thou, after about 35 thousand the transmission started jerking out of 1st gear when it was cold, now i did thrash the car a bit, but i know alot of people that have serviced their tranny and its fixed the problem, i serviced my transmission but a few days later it started doing it again, but i could see that my transmission was leaking, i only noticed this about 3 months later, the transmission would jerk when its cold but when it warms up it starts to go away but if i accelerate slower it wouold still jerk but not as bad, i have to accelerate faster so it doesnt but that means i waste more petrol, maybe i didnt put the filter in right or that seal inside the transmission, i didnt take it out, would it make a difference if i did? any help would be appreciated

Hey man, checking the filter is a good idea but if you can't pinpoint the problem take it to a transmission specialist.

Sometimes you've got to accept you're out of your depth and get some help instead of continuing blindly - speaking from experience I have done that many a time haha.

Go and get the codes read with a scan tool, this should reveal exactly what's gong on, your local auto elec should be able to do it.

I'm a mechanic my self, second year, I've got a code scanner.at work and.nothing comes.up, maybe I need a proper scan tool like.a tech 2, I just have no time to do anything about it and I can't be ####ed lol, as they say mechanics fix everyone else's cars except their own, but yeah I might take it to a tranny specialist, I'm.gonna.service the transmission first and see where that gets me, but thanks dude

Hey mate it looks like its leaking from the front.of the sump, so it could be the torque.converter, but the wired thing is everyrime I go to check my fluid its always good, and that's in park while the.engine.is idleing, I.think when I did the previous service I overfilled it, what would you suggest I should do?
