There are no bands in the VT box it is all electronic. The other day the replaced all the solenoids and also the torque converter, however the problem was still there. Took it down again today and asked them to chnaged the TPS which I orginally told them was what I thought could be causing the problem.

Guess what......it was the TPS, so they overhauled the tranny and everything for nothing, but then again I did not pay for anything as it was still under warrenty.

WTF? yes there are. the only thing electronic about the trans is the shift points, instead of a cable initiating the shifts like the earlier boxes the ecu tells the box when to shift and it has a varying "firmness" based on the tps reading.

Turns out to be the ECU. They are sending it away for further testing and then to be fixed. Probably will not get the car back until next Thursday.

i dont believe the PCM will be at fault if the TPS fixed it temporarily, what are the codes that led them to think the PCM is faulty??

Apparently it is not logging any codes. Everything on the tranny (termo, solenoids, torque converter have all been replaced) has been done and seems not likely to be anything mechanical due to the occassional nature of the problem.

I fina out tomorrow if it is the PCM as it will be tested.
