Hi All
I've trawled through a few old threads, looking to get a Trans service on VE Series 2 (6 speed auto) cars has done 135k and most likely has never been properly serviced.
Got quoted $380 this includes flush, filter and trans calibration, what is this?
I've been told the VE's require Dex6 fluid which is a little more expensive.
Is this reasonable or overpriced?
Cheers

$390 for me, but it was at what looked like a good place, turned out crap, he over filled by nearly 2 litres. Was only for flush and filter, so your price seems better

I also recommend getting a solinoid clean while your at it. Was $85 for me with a guy who was an absolute legend. I'm sure if I had more done with him it would have been cheaper or free

I paid $275.
140k.
Trans fluid was burnt.
Just had a custom tune done on the engine & trans.
Massive improvement in the drivability of the car, no more searching for the right gear, holds the for longer.
Best money spent right there.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
I paid $280 for a flush and filter.
It still feels like it was done yesterday.

A what?

Sounds like a wallet flush to me.
So What do you think about $380 as a price for service? And what's a Trans calibration ?
$85 to wipe some oil off the solinod sounds a bit strange

Sounds reasonable. I can’t think of any calibrations that need to be made, other than resetting learned shift points, but this is just pulling a fuse or using the KAM reset function in a scan tool.
