VZ gearbox with the same amount of gears might fit (will be a question of electronics compatibility). VT is a definite no.

VT has a different torque converter so it's a definite No.

Yes. If it's the same there's a high chance it will work but no guarantee. It should physically bolt up though.

Different way of controlling the operation of the gearbox.

As has also been posted, different torque converter as well.
