I would drive it home.

A few stone chips won't affect its value too much.

I've bought two cars interstate and find it a good excuse to disappear for a few days

Avoid Patricks at all cost.

Bad experience here with Patricks here too.

I used patricks a few years back to ship a car from Adelaide to townsville.. never using them again. Ended up on a truck, then a train then a truck.. sat in a yard for a while then back on another truck.. also put two identical dents in both front guards.. guessing they strapped it in an odd way
Similar story, only no dints thankfully. Patricks didn't even have the decency to speak to me. Despite the reasonble approach I took. Instead, they sicked their numpty of a lawyer onto me. I say numpty, because her pathetic, amateurish response was full of inconsistencies, lacked in facts and detail and included mistruths, if not outright lies. Had the matter have gone to court, they would have looked quite stupid. I had witnesses, corroborative evidence including photos, recorded phone calls and contemporaneous notes to support my case. The dealer refunded my freight costs and paid for a detail, to their credit. I decided against pursuing it, as I have better things to do with my time and money. So, Patricks got off scott free. Or so they thought. The dealer now refuses to use them.

It's an easy drive you can do in two days. Plus you get a chance to become acquainted with your new girl.

I drove my Calais from Melbourne to Adelaide. Got home at like 3am but I was so high on the fact that I had my baby it made my drive a breeze.
