Got a Calais chrome bonnet moulding

i wanted to get that for my ute and spray it black (same black as car) to make the front look a little bit more bulky.

Looks alot better in real life , hard to capture it on film . But yeah thats what I wanted to do paint it black , but im quite liking the chrome

Yeah I reckon thats funny how the calais grille with the lion must sit like 20 mm lower , where the ss one gets cut off .



Also trying to build a custom grille with the chev badge grille I got with the new front bumper , ive cut the chev badge so it will be a straight line
Kind of like this but blended in better and will be black Im thinking

Yeah some progress , ive been really lazy so only got as far as cutting the chev badge and cutting some bits of plastic to fill the voids

So this in the back of the grille , with the chev logo bumps cut out and filled with plastic , im going to bog over the orange then "try" to cut out the mesh patten using a dremmel with that mini router type bit and use a tiny file (fingers crossed)

Here is the front grille bit with the top and bottom of the chev logo cut off and filled with plastic , pretty much ready to bog over and shitz

Yeah, I'm with Jecs, not 100% sold on the chrome...
Would look phat if it was black though - plastidip it?

I to would paint it black. But thats also because i put a hsv one on mine and painted it black. I like the idea of the grill. I currently have my lion painted black so will be watching your progress.
