I don't have climate control at all so splitting it would do nothing

I have a simple rule in my car when I'm driving, DON'T. ####ING. TOUCH. ANYTHING!!., I don't care if your god, if your cold ask to put the heater on, if you want to change the radio or cd ask, if you want to move the seat back ask, remember its all about DRIVER comfort not passenger comfort.

If you do want to do it, the best way will be to inhibit the operation of the heater hose valve.

The heater hose valve looks like the image below, it operates on vacuum when the heater is on, allowing hot engine coolant to flow through the heater core.

If you put a tie-wrap around the mechanism it will prevent the valve opening without doing any harm.

Tell her you're the man and you're in control. She should beg if she wants the heater on, right? After all, you're the man.

Grow a pair and say "Hey wife, can i put the heater down? im melting away here..." or you can disconnect the vac hose to the heater tap, remove the blower fuse, remove the stereo fuse, or put something foul smelling in the heater so she wont want to use it. Even better, just open the window?
