Following my successful dash guage swap, i have 3 beautiful lcd dispays on my vr calais dash.. trouble is, the overspeed, once set, does nothing. I thought it may have chimed or something.

Second problem, there is no reading on the average speed or fuel used screens.

The odometer works as does the average speed setting.

The LCDs came from a v6 VR statesman, they're now in a v8 vr calais..

Technically speaking there shouldn't be an issue if all you did was change the LCD's themselves.

Now I have to ask the question, did you by any chance fit the complete V6 cluster straight into the car as a trial test ?

We put the v8 cluster into the v6 housing as the v6 lcd system was good. The centre panel on the v8 lcd was shot.

There's your problem !

You now need to access the BCM via a "GOOD" scan tool and reset some features, did the Air Bag light trip ?

Hey vs_lover, could that be the reason why the new cruise control switch will activate but won't engage a speed??
