trip computer settings

Default settings or calibrate.

Hi,

I have a VS S2 manual with the 3 window cluster as well as the VY S2.

The best option is to set default settings (625, 625 and 0.0), and then do a calibration.

My settings have evolved with calibration to 625 for distance (though it was up to 630 with worn tyres at one stage), 645 for fuel and, while I could set +3.0 for the fuel tank, I have left it at 0.0 at the moment.

The default settings are usually close, but if you want best accuracy calibration is the way to go. Takes a while to do properly however.

 

i got the computer and everything.. dono what it is ur talking about? i can change things on it? fill me in please :unsure:

 

Trip Computer Calibration

The trip computer has a calibration function that allows errors to be removed from the trip meter (distance), the fuel flow (fuel flow) and the fuel tank quantity (fuel tank).

When properly calibrated, the trip computer gives very accurate fuel used, distance travelled (tripmeter only, odometer not affected) and fuel consumption.

If you search for it, you should find instructions.

Hey I just bought a VS calais S2 tonight, I'm still trying to figure out how to reset the trip computer, can you's please tell me. Thanks. I tried holding down some buttons with no success. Tho currently it shows time not k's as well.

 

Hold mode and tap set. I fitted a VS Calais dash to a mates VS manual ute. He's never reset it and I was in it the other day and it'd used 3000L total fuel, and average was about 10.8L/100km... not too bad overall economy. for over about 25000km.
