    08 SV6 manual
    Hey all,

Not sure this has been asked but couldn't really find anything on it.

I noticed when i reset my trip computer after filling up. it also resets the avg speed and fuel. Is this normal and is their a way to not reset the avg fuel ? i think its kinda stupid if its only on that tank and not all the kms.

    Any thoughts ?

    Cheers,

    Nick

Yeah mine does that, i dont think its possible to not reset the avg fuel but your best bet would be to ask your local holden dealer or try the ls1 forum.

    Method!

There is a way. It relates to which window and how long the buttons are pressed. If I remember, I'll check my owners manual in the morning and post it tomorrow.

On my VE SS there doesn't seem to be a way of resetting the trip meter but not the average fuel and speed.

    Hey guys,

From memory, if you press the trip button until you have the selection you wish to reset, you can reset that value only by pressing and holding the wheel for 3 seconds, instead of just tapping it.

I tried holding the button in for 3 seconds or more today and I can confirm that it works, reset my trip without losing any other info.

    Cheers,
    Abe

    Great tip!!

I'm about to go on an interstate trip on Sunday, being able to reset the avg ltrs per 100, and still keep the litres used will be very useful.
