Hi, ive got a VS 2 SV6 Statesman. The trip computer isnt too accurate but thats ok. Went into the alternate menu by holding Set when turning on the car and in one of the pages, when i pressed both of the arrow buttons at once, it said 'Fail' on the middle screen, what does this mean? is it something bad?
It can be calibrated. Hi, You can calibrate the trip computer so it is very accurate. I might try mine tomorrow to see if it gives the same indication.
fail means it cant proformed the action you asked. may be a prob or as simple as you pressed a sequence of buttons that doesnt do anything
Same on Mine! I tried the push button sequence on my level 3 cluster, for the same result. I would guess that there is no function for that sequence.
when you have turned the key and the trip windows are on as normal, hold the set button in and it will show a number, it should show 625 for two of them, the third is the fuel tank litres remaining, if it's not right while holding down set use up and down to set them to 625, they are the calibration numbers for your injectors and tire sizes so the trip can output the right amount of fuel used and distance etc. so check there right first.
