    VX S pack
    Hi guys,

Was mucking around with the trip meter on my new VX s pack. If you have the car off, and hold down the MODE button, turn the car on, and (still holding mode) press the up arrow.

Its got all sorts of goodies in there like voltage meters, digital readouts of rpm and speed, but there's a couple in there that i would like to know what they are. The first readout i get is 9960980, i have no idea what that is.

I've found an article on autospeed whcih is suppose to explain it all, but u have to sign up and pay $6.

Just wondering if anyone can help me out so i can save my $6 and put it towards the $70 i just spent of fuel. (still getting use to not being able to fill up the 4c for $40... optimax)

    F 0.0 L/h (Litres per Hour)
vb 5.0 (Voltage to the BCM)
EOO nu (Trouble codes in the computer)

screen returns to normal once the ignition is turned off or if you press the up and down arrows together.

thats just a few, hope it helps in some way....

like djlingard said, it's been covered before.
but here's some info i think you might find helpful:

ps you don't still have to hold mode while you are pressing up. i think once you are in the "secret codes" section, just pressing mode will change through them.

    Initial Display=Software Date 980729 29/07/1998
    Part Number: Pn5353
    Mode Switch Voltage: v- - -5.0
Battery Voltage : vB 14.3v if you press the Arrow UP you should see another voltage -U-2.5V this is for the Up voltage of this button operation.
If you press the Arrow DOWN you should see another voltage --d 1.6 V this is for the Down voltage of this button operation.
Petrol Sender Voltage : vP 2.3v
LPG Sender Voltage : vL 5.0v
    Remaining Fuel: f 48.5 l
Instantaneous Fuel : f 2.1 l/h litres per hour and once driving it will change to litres per kilometres.
    Coolant Temperature: 98 c
    Speedo: 35k/mh
    Tacho: t 3500
    Park Lamps: P on / P off
    Dash Trouble Codes ( Press Up/Down to Scroll Through) E00 - -E01- - E02- - E03- - through to E31
The last display will cause the WHOLE display to GAUGE TEST itself, by lighting up all internal lights and move all temp, tacho, speedo, and fuel to middle range, extra lights like LPG and ABS will be tested by this and plus the buzzer will sound as well.

The last step and this is to reset your computer back the normal DISPLAY, this is done by holding both up and down arrow together. or just turn off your ignition and when you re-start your car it will come up normal.

Ive been after those definitions for a while now thanks :)

My first voltage measurement is 13.7 - 13.9, is that acceptable as normal ?
Also on the 3rd window on the 2nd row (vl 5.0 / bv 5.0 /fuel) it sais my fuel is 3.0. This was around 1.6-2.0 BEFORE i changed my exhaust/oxy sensors, what is this measurement for (this is not the inst fuel usage)?

    With the error codes
t03/04/05/06/07/21/22/23/27/28/29/30/31 all had (nu) next to them
t17 had a (hd) next to it, the rest of the numbers didnt have any letters after them, are they a diff form of extracting error codes from the computer? because i tried to check the error codes after doing this with the normal bridging 5/6 terminal method, but the light would flash at me once- continiously, not denoting code12 or anything :/

    sorry mate
    yeah try dr bob.
i dont really know about the error codes
according to the info that i have been given, vB is battery voltage. yeah - 13.7-9 is fine i think.
apparently vL is LPG Sender Voltage

I dont reckon the l/h function turns to l/100km once moving.
There is no way i can only be using 4.5l/100km in my 350 when cruising at 60km/h.
I always assumed it was 4.5l/h which equates to 7.5l/100 which is more realistic @ 60km/h

The codes displayed by the instrument cluster are not PCM codes are they?
its like looking in the pantry for frozen food if you get my drift
all the modules in the car have the ability to log diagnostic codes

doubt if its the temp sensor, more than likely an ABS module fault
does the oil light come on as well?
