help! ive got a few troubles hopefully someone with some helpfull info might assist me :)

first things first, ever since i got my injectors reco'd my car hasnt been starting on the first crack after the turn of the key. it usually takes 1-2sec as apposed to being instant before i had the injectors done.

next, started the car up one morning, and the (!) light came on, i thought nothing off it when i started it and drove to work. (apparantly NONE of my brake lights were working on the way to work as a kind informative yet angry driver by yelled to me) after 15 minutes the (!) light went away and ABS light, trac off, low trac and airbag light all come on...AND my power steering went all very heavy (i can still steer with it, its not like when u loose all power)

this has happened about 1 week after i put a whole new alternator in and everything is tight (my old alternator fried itself while i was driving to pick up a new one lol)

    ive pulled the codes
31 - theft deterrent signal missing (cleaned key reader + key)
92 - low speed fan fault (i cleaned the relay with crc)
95 - trac control signal (out of range) ???

anyone know what the standard price for an auto-elec to chase a bad earth perhaps? would they need a car for a few days lol?

also any decent auto elec's/mechanics out north eastern melb (greensborough way) ? every one i talk to has no idea what a factory s/c v6 is

I think your battery in the key head is flat. It sets off all kinds of crap. Better off getting a new one b4 you get stranded and it won't let you start the car at all.

The ECU powers down everything and acts like the car has no power. It just turns everything off and the more you try, the more it shuts down. GM immobiliser at work.

Being a VT those codes that were thrown such as code 31-theft detterent signal missing (is a common fault code thrown) and code 92 Low speed fan fault (is a common fault code thrown) these codes i wouldnt worry about because every VT and VX that come into work that we put our machine on has either both of these codes logged or one of them. And our guys that we deal with st service solutions(efi specialists) in QLD who sold us our scan tool have mentioned that these codes are a common thing but nothing major to worry about.Maybe you have a problem with your BCM should get your computer checked for faults.

Hey this is a little off topic but does any one know how to tell if my 97 VT executive has ABS. I have to change the FL wheel hub and need to know if my car is fitted with ABS.

If you look at the front of the master cylinder, there should be a module with a heap of brake lines coming out of it, if that is there, you have ABS.

The ABS light is on all models but it doesn't light up unless you have it.
