Sheep rain down on cars as truck tips over highway My question; Drive not only be charged with driving offences, but also animal cruelty?
Saw this in Facebook and some of the comments were laughable to say the least. One person went on to say that if everyone were vegans this wouldn't have happened. Honestly, how can the driver be charged with animal cruelty? Unless he intentionally crashed the truck...
All truck drivers speed, everywhere, all the time, no exceptions, ever. That is why this happened so yes he should be charged with animal cruelty. This is coming from a recreational hunter.
probably go to jail for a longer time than if he killed a truck load of kids... the world is retarded
doesnt sound to Baaaaaaa-d and whats with all these truck rollovers. 2pm thursday one on the ring road and now one at 9pm that night. also that guy looks pretty close to falling off the edge. that would have been an absolute huge disaster if that occured.
I bet the truck driver feels a bit sheepish about it all.. Can you imagine driving down the freeway and having a sheep land on your bonnet? Freaky stuff.
couple of those lambs would have ended up in my boot if i were driving by. if i get caught ill just say sam kekovich made me do it...
I travel that road 3 times a day 5 days a week and that is a prick of a bend, it tightens half way through the corner and drops off camber.any many accident happen there.
Doesn't matter if it was unintentional or not. But the guy is a professional truck driver, who knows the limits of how much you can push a truck. At the end of the day, he has 400+ lives in his hands plus the lives of the people around him who could be affected by his actions. Just to be clear I am not a bleeding heart for animals as I think most animals are delicious. But this is really an avoidable slaughter.
do you guys know how unstable a livestock truck is?? the answer is more than likely a NO, those sheep or cattle move constantly on the trailer even if the truck was doin the speed limit it could happen at any bend, ive grown up around livestock yard and have seen how much they move around i have also changed tyres on the trailers while they have been fully loaded they can also be b doubles not just single trailers if its not the first time its happened maybe the council or vicroads should do something about where its happening.
All truck drivers speed, everywhere, all the time, no exceptions, ever. .... Pig's arse they do. I DO NOT SPEED ALL THE TIME. NOR DO I SPEED IN MY TRUCK AT ALL EVER IF I CAN HELP IT. Your statement is no different to if i were to say : all your posts contain generalised rubbish with no facts to back yourself up with about other people. Or i could say all R32 skyline drivers crash out the front of the woy woy pub like the silver one did on thursday 10am. If i were to speed and lose control of my 22.5 tonnes of truck there's a very good chance it'd be you or someone you know, i could clean up, I am local to you.
No they don't. Ever heard of speed limiters. Must be fitted and operational by law. Those sheep were heading for the abattoirs in Geelong anyway. They just took a shortcut.
Shortly after getting my truck licence, I went as an offsider for a tanker driver mate of mine. Coming back from Vic to NSW we encountered a herd of sheep roadside grazing just past a blind crest. Many were on the road. Nothing we could do... long story short, we used a fire hose at the nearest servo to wash down the old cabover kenny....... Many things happen on the road that you can't control....
Mine wont go any faster than 94klm/h, to get it that fast i have to hold my foot hard to the floor... stuff straining my calf non stop from gossie to muswellbrook. so i sit on 90.
Exactly right. No one on here knows the circumstances leading to this accident. Only what's been reported in the media. And we all know how truthful they can be.
wouldn't be that "theft by find"? much like if you found a rolex on the side of the road and didn't hand it? LOL
