    VY SS
about to buy my first commdore all previous cars have been turbo subarus
like the VY/VZ shape and am trying to decide between 2 that ive found....

    2003 VY
    red
    108,000kms
manual, pacemaker extractors,SS intake, full exhaust, 19" wheels, 10 months rego, brand new tires, immaculate condition inside and out.... owner looks after it like crazy and drives in like a granny asking 19,500...

    2004 VZ

    dark blue
    160,000kms
stock as rock bar after market wheels 18"...
reasonably good condition few scratches here and there gear stick knob and other interior buttons faded n worn also volume up button on steering wheels is broken like all pushed in....
leather interior, forgot to check rego date....
    asking 20,000

so im really stuck VZ for near enough to same price with leather interior but more ks not as good condition and no exhaust or extractors done.... n not sure if i like the dark blue or not..... the higher ks is really whats turning me away....

whats everyone's opinion on which to go for?

    thanks :)

the vy man, even though they are the same price you will spend so much more making the vz to the vy spec plus the vy has done less k's lol

if the vz is auto i would go straight for the manual ss... vy has better looks vz has the slightly bigger engine... id go the vy mainly cause im a fan of the 5.7L even though its not the most powerful

Thats a lot of money for a VY. If your patient you will find a nice VZ for around that price

i knew a guy who sold his vyss hot hosue green and green leather manual for $14k

but between those 2 the vy seems like the better deal... even though the vz's are way sexier!!

The VY is a little overpriced even considering condition and km's.
The VZ is a way overpriced considering condition and km's.

you can probably find a good condition VZ SS for that price.

A 2003 VY SS and a 2004 VZ SS have the same engine. It wasn't until the early 2006 VZ SS that the 6.0L came out.

As stated above by a couple of others, I'd keep an eye out for a VZ SS at that price.
