Depends entirely on how it is scratched. If the scratch has penetrated through the clear, it’s not coming out.

The shape of the scratch will also dictate the outcome.

Essentially, the scratch is a valley in the paint. To remove the scratch you remove the surrounding paint with compounds that grind it back. You can’t go through the clear or it’s a not fun ride.

Doing this by hand will be fruitless. You’ll need a DA polisher to achieve the result. There are a lot of popular choices for compounds which I’m sure others will chime in with.

It might be something you pay a detailer to come and do. If it can’t be removed, a detailer will be able to improve it.

I bought a cheap rotary buff from Total Tools. It worked great on my scratches. You will need a dark grey pad and possibly an orange pad but be careful with the orange pad as it cuts more. Repco have Turtle Wax buff compound in a black bottle on clearance. It did a decent job on my mine. I could have spent more time on it but I wasn't wanting to keep go without knowing the thickness of the clear.

To be fair, I’d just pay someone to do it. A detailer. It’s a skilled job.
