TS Astra key barrel

Hi guys, I have a model TS 2001 and I am on my 3rd ignition barrel. I have fitted them myself but even new ones don't last very long. I now find I cant find new ones anymore? Is there anywhere I can take it to get a permanent fix? also need a new key remote electronics. AL.

If you have a large key ring hanging of the ignition, the weight of the keys will stuff the ignition barrel.
How often is this happening?
You could try a locksmith? Ring around.

Thanks Lex, the barrel I have in now has been in for 12 months but keeps jamming the key and makes it near impossible to remove. I have tried graphite but to no avail. Tried 2 locksmiths but they were not interested.

ok, found a good locksmith, came out and fitted new GMH lock. Now need to sought out the transponder which are $130 each. Nearly time for a new car for the missus
