What's your budget? Tonyz Garage on fb do an ecotec kit complete minus pump and tune for $3.8k last I checked. That's using a decent Ebay Garret rip off. You won't do better for the cash

Eco's love boost, don't worry about the bottom end

Honestly, do some research and understand instead of just asking for everything on a plate.

Would help if I knew where to research, instead of spending the time telling me I’m doing it wrong you could have atleast pointed me in the right direction

In my opinion, there's two ways of picking a turbo.
1) learn how to do some serious maths.
2) look at what others have used on the same engine.

I know where you're coming from so the Garrett site will show examples with way more power than what your chasing from turbos that are basically your full build budget. But the info is there.

Regarding what injectors tho, I just rang golbeys at Toowoomba.
They recommended Bosch 1000cc E85 injectors because they're basically the same price as whatever else, and they can still idle the engine without over fueling.
Unlike a lot of eBay injectors, they come with the flow data needed for tuning.

A different school of thought, buy stuff you can afford and work out what works as you go.
There's plenty of good feedback on dirt cheep China eBay parts these days. $40 O2's are good, whichever cheap injectors it is that have sold literally thousands of units with good feedback. Etc

That turbo build Mr project does on a VT Ecotec, it's just a turbo, intercooler kit, waste gate and manifold.
I think maybe he uses an eBay rising rate fuel pressure reg to up the fuel under boost. But that's everything. No injectors, no tune, no fuel pump.
So you can technically have a turbo on your car for under $1k.
Still using the MAF sensor.
It's the other $2k or $3k that makes it reliable.
Best advice I can give is to buy a haltech 2500 first, no it's not cheap but it'll do everything on any car. Put it on your stock car and build up from there. Want to buy an XR6 turbo or skyline gtt or diesel patrol in the future? Take the haltech to the new car. It's an investment.
