Personal preference. Quick, easy power, go for a centrifugal supercharger. Bolt it on and tune, don't need to touch the exhaust either. Also easy to remove if you want to. They're basically a belt driven turbo. Top mount screw type blowers are another story all together though. Different power characteristics and vastly different purchase and setup costs too.

What's your budget. EYY's pretty much right on the money.

I'd personally go twin turbo (but bye bye my money).

Top mount like whipple kit be more fun on street but centrifugal be much more easier to fit, tune & work on also 'slightly cheaper"

No such thing as cheap turbo setup unless you can weld it all up & tune it yourself.

Asking what is cheaper is only going to cost you double in the end if you don't know what is involved by the time you do a fuel system, stronger auto with stally or clutch/diff etc

Twin turbos bit of a waste of money single turbo set up correctly will cost a lot less have close to same lag with same Power out put.

A used powerdyne on the side of it will be cheapest option. But if going Brand New cost won't be much different to a turbo.

They do off shelf turbo manifolds now for 304. The turbo will make much more power then a centrifugal even if you do everything yourself id budget 5+ after manifolds , turbo , dump to exhaust you have , cooler piping , cooler , injectors , fuel pump and tune. If you can weld and road tune that numbers halved.
