Hi, im thinking about putting a stroke kit in a L67, Stroking it to a 4.2L, I am going to try stay standard bore if not I will only go 20thou over. I am going to run forged pistons and conrods, double row timing chain, upgraded pushrods and lifters, stage 3 cam from Mace Engineering and a stage 4 head from Intense.
I was hoping to be able to run 14psi but not sure?
What does everyone else think?

Any reason, you are going to spend $5.5k on a stroker kit, plus machining when a V8 build would probably be same or cheaper?

You're wasting your time and money.
Just buy a ecotec add some powder rods and L67 pistons get the engine shop to balance with the L67 balancer on and they can place the correct weight on the flexplate/flywheel.
Then get some ecotec heads and manifold ported by Rams heads, Kinght engines, Higgins ect.

With that combo you can run a good turbo cam and some extra spring which needs a double row chain. This should take 20 pound turbo and make 300rwkw+
This will be cheaper than stuffing around with strokers.

Just remember the extra 400cc is probably only 3 to 4 pounds of boost.

I ran 18 pounds on a stock L36 for a couple years. Never skipped a beat and ran 12's. Best bit about not spending on the motor is you can swap it out for $500 and a weekends work. The bang for buck on opening either an 67 or 36 in any way just isn't there. Stock they love boost, there were a number of us back then with turbos and sidemounts that had a great run. Tonyz Garage has a stellar stock Eco turbo kit
