Hi wondering if anyone else has had a problem with the turn signals not flicking off when the steering wheel has been corrected. Dad had our car when we were away and it happened while he had it. He swears he didn't touch anything, but he did clean the car for us so not sure if he could have knocked something.

Also, my passenger seat alarm comes on for no reason at all when there is no-one/nothing in the seat. Is it possible to turn the alarm off?? The only way I can get around it at the moment is to put the seatbelt on (the empty seat) which is annoying when someone needs to get in.

how did he clean it? there is a sensor in the seat that thinks someone is in it, these are underneath-may be a problem with it (if it got wet) knock off pin in steering wheel may be worn/broken

The indicator stalk clicks into place, if it isnt fully clicked in the stalk return tab wont activate. Push the stalk inwards toward the centre of the steering column and see if it clicks into place..

The passenger presence sensor has probably failed, not uncommon on VE. It sits between the foam and the seat cover. Not too hard to change yourself if warranty has run out.

Thanks. Pretty sure he washed the outside and only rubbed a dust cloth over the dash. Will try and click it in in the morning.

Thanks for the tip about the seat alarm. I'll look for that. It's been happening for months and the scumbags want to charge me $360 to replace the sensor. Don't think so!!
